Stephen Curry is partnering again with the Accelerate Basketball Training group in 2014 and is hosting his Stephen Curry Skills Academy in Charlotte NC (see details below)

Stephen Curry Basketball Camp 2013
My former college teammate Stephen Curry is hosting a youth basketball training camp here in Charlotte, NC. Stephen Curry’s 2013 Skills Academy camp is partnered with the Accelerate Basketball Training program and will be hosted at Charlotte Christian High School from June 24th – 27th.
Stephen Curry broke the 3 single NBA season 3 point record with 272 3s made, so of course he should have a shooting camp. Stephen Curry’s shooting league will consist of a middle school division (rising 7th and 8th graders) and a high school division (rising 9th and 12th graders). Stephen’s camp will be made up of 2 sessions. There will be a 9am – 12pm and 1pm – 4pm session.

Curry’s started this camp to help young players who has aspirations of playing at the next level. In Curry’s camp, young athletes will focus on ball-handling, offensive moves to the basket, footwork, basketball IQ, conditioning, reading ball screens and more.
The early registration camp (9am – 12pm) – Grades 4 – 10
The afternoon registration camp (12pm – 1pm) – Grades 5 – 9
Grade K-3rd registration camp

If you are a young player who wants to learn from one of the best shooters in the NBA, then Stephen Curry’s skill camp is where you should be. In college, I watched a kid go from not being heavily recruited, to a freshman star and then a top 10 NBA draft pick.
Curry is not only a great shooter, but he has the determination and drive to be successful. Hope to hear some readers comment on their experience or their child’s experience at this great skills camp.

Hi Minire – I currently don’t have any basketball camps going on in Greenville SC. I will definitely do some research there to see if there are any youth basketball programs. I’m not specifically having any basketball camps this year, but there are a ton of other camps in NC and SC this year! Thanks for the comment! I’m only familiar with his camps in Charlotte. He will not be in Charlotte for an extended period, so I’m not sure if he is having a camp in Charlotte this year.

Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for sending me a message. I’m not sure yet if Stephen is going to have a camp here in Charlotte this summer, but if he does, I will definitely keep you posted. Two of my other teammates from Davidson College, Logan Kosmalski and Brendan Winters have a really good youth basketball program here in Charlotte NC as well. Their organization is called Pro Skills Basketball and they have camps all the time. During the holidays, during the seasons, pretty much all the time.
